These terms govern bookings made with NABs Private Hire ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Nicholas Bentley of Lion Mews, Newbury St, Lambourn RG17 8YY. By booking with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Quotes & bookings
All quotes are issued in writing (email or SMS) and are valid for seven days. A booking is confirmed when you accept the quote and we send a written confirmation including driver name and vehicle. Verbal-only bookings are not binding on either party until confirmed in writing.
2. Pricing
Quoted prices are fixed and inclusive of fuel, driver time, standard waiting and airport drop-off charges where applicable. Additional waiting beyond the included window, route changes requested mid-journey, additional drop-offs, or congestion-charge zones not specified at booking may incur extra charges, agreed in advance where possible.
3. Payment
Payment is accepted in cash, by card or by bank transfer. Standard payment is due on completion of the journey.
4. Cancellations
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before pickup are free of charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup may incur a charge of up to 50% of the quoted price. No-shows (where the vehicle is dispatched and the passenger does not appear) are charged at the full quoted price. Weddings and event bookings have separate cancellation terms set at the time of booking.
5. Flight delays
All inbound flights are tracked. We do not charge for delays caused by the airline within a reasonable waiting window quoted at booking (typically 60 minutes from landing). Significant delays beyond this window may require a re-quote.
6. Behaviour & vehicle care
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a journey where passengers are abusive, intoxicated to the point of risk, or behave in a way that endangers the driver, the vehicle or other road users. Soiling charges (typically £150) apply where the vehicle requires professional cleaning following a journey.
7. Luggage & items
It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure all luggage and personal items are removed from the vehicle at drop-off. We will make reasonable efforts to return items left in the vehicle but accept no liability for loss or damage.
8. Liability
We carry full hire-and-reward insurance as required by law. Our liability for losses arising from a journey is limited to the value of that booking, except where prohibited by law (for example, in respect of death or personal injury caused by negligence). Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
